the design consultation

We at KM Interiors have been delivering amazing interiors for businesses and homeowners since 2014. During those six years, we’ve realised that the client is ALWAYS the most important thing As far as we’re concerned, there’s no better outcome than sharing your vision and seeing it come to life. Sometimes, though, you may need a little extra guidance to realise what you really want. And, that’s where our design consultations can be beneficial.

While some people may have a clear idea of what they want from a space, we understand that isn’t always the case. That’s why our design consultations are in place to help you realise your vision, even if you don’t think you have one.

01 our design consultations

Whether you have a specific design dilemma or need basic space planning and guidance, you could benefit from a design consultation. Your needs and desires are so much at the heart of meetings like these that sessions can take up to two hours. During this time, you’ll meet with designers who will take this chance to get to know exactly what you want. As well as getting to know you on a personal level, our experienced team will work to understand everything from your timeline to your preferred budget. They’ll then be in the best position to provide the advice and guidance you need. They may even be able to help you decide where your interior focus should be for an upcoming project, thus guaranteeing the best results.

02 getting the most out of your consultation

We want to make sure that you get the most out of those two hours. The last thing anyone wants is for you to still have design dilemmas on your hands by the end of the consultation session. But, by taking small steps towards preparation before you meet our designers, you stand the best chance at avoiding that eventuality. Of course, you don’t need to spend hours scouring the internet for design inspiration beforehand. That’s why you’re meeting with our designers in the first place! Instead, you should get a few basic requirements straight in your mind, such as –

  • What is your design problem?

  • What are you hoping to portray with your designs?

  • What budget do you have in mind?

  • What is your timeline?

  • What’s the scope of your project?

03 what will you get out of your design consultation?

Of course, we wouldn’t ask you to give up two hours of your time if we weren’t confident that doing so would be worth your while. But, what exactly can you hope to get out of a design consultation? For the most part, sitting down with designers brings the benefit of helping you to work through problems and uncover your vision.

Once you have a better understanding of what you want, you could even ask members of our team to a design brief which would enable us to help you even further with your interior dreams. I’m sorry I don’t think I understand this sentence; am I missing something? Generally, during the two hours we collect a lot of information and yes we can sometimes clarify a lot for the client, but often we go away and then we produce something for the clients…if you need more clarification on that, I’m happy to send examples and explain more
